Keep your Talenori gear performing at its best.
After every swim
Rinse in cool fresh water immediately after saltwater, chlorine, or sandy play. Don't let salt or chemicals dry into the fabric — they break down fibers over time.
Washing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle inside a mesh laundry bag. Use mild detergent. No bleach, fabric softener, or harsh stain removers — they degrade the UPF coating and elasticity.
Drying
Air dry flat or on a line, away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not tumble dry — high heat damages spandex fibers. Don't wring or twist; gently press between towels instead.
Storage
Store clean and completely dry. Fold loosely — don't hang for long periods. Keep away from direct sunlight to preserve color and UPF performance.
Between washes
A quick freshwater rinse and air dry is enough for most days. Full machine washing is recommended every 3 to 4 uses, or sooner after heavily chlorinated or sandy water.
What to avoid
No bleach. No ironing. No dry cleaning. Avoid rough surfaces like concrete pool edges and barnacle-covered rocks. Rinse sand off before it gets ground into the fabric weave.
